Pinellas Park Police responded to the Sunny Rest
Mobile Home Park located at 3920 78th Ave N at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2019.
Officers responded to reports of an explosive device being located. Once on-scene, officers located two pipe bomb style devices buried in the ground approximately 3 feet deep.
These devices were located while a maintenance worker was completing some work behind a mobile home.
The Tampa Police Department Bomb Squad responded and safely removed the devices from the property.
No other devices have been located at this time and there is no safety concern for the immediate area.
Upon further inspection, the devices are believed to have been buried for an extended period of time.
No other information is expected to be released.
