Pedestrian killed attempting to cross 38th Avenue N near 66th Street in St. Petersburg

Officers from the St. Petersburg Police Department continue to investigate a crash that killed a pedestrian.

The crash occurred at approximately 8:27 a.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021 in the eastbound lane of 38th Avenue N.

Investigators say that a gray sedan headed east on 38th Avenue North struck the 68 year-
old male crossing 38th Avenue North, just west of 66th Street N.

The pedestrian was not at the intersection, according to investigators.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries.

The driver is cooperating with investigators and this is still an ongoing investigation.
