Pedestrian struck and killed crossing 34th Street in St. Petersburg

The St. Petersburg Police Department is currently investigation the fatality death of a pedestrian.

The crash occurred at approximately 9:10 p.m. on June 12, 2022 when a black 2018 Chrysler Pacifica was southbound in the curb lane of 34th Street South.

According to police, the pedestrian was crossing 34th Street South in the 4600 block, from east to west. Once he entered the southbound curb lane, he was struck by the Chrysler Pacifica.

The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

The male victim was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where he died from his injuries.

Next of kin has not been notified.
