Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol continue to investigate a crash closing US-19.
The crash occurred on Monday, May 27, 2024 at approximately 9:45 a.m.

The southbound lanes of US-19 are closed at Curlew road after a tractor trailer transporting palm oil crashed into a construction area after the driver fell asleep.
The driver, a 64-year-old Bristol man, was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Crews are working to remove the obstruction.
Motorists should seek alternate southbound travel routes.
