The Largo Police Department’s Traffic Homicide Unit responded to a serious accident at the intersection of Seminole Boulevard and 8th Avenue SW on Monday, August 26, 2024 at approximately 1:59 p.m.
The crash involved a 2015 Jeep Cherokee and a 2019 Nissan Rogue.
According to initial reports, the driver of the Jeep Cherokee was traveling northbound on Seminole Boulevard and was turning west onto 8th Avenue SW when it collided with the southbound Nissan Rogue.
The driver of the Nissan sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the Jeep was also taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
Police confirmed that neither driver showed signs of impairment. Both vehicles remained at the scene, and the roadway has been shut down since the time of the accident.
The road is expected to reopen shortly. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
