Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Two Vehicles on Ulmerton Road

A pedestrian was fatally struck early Saturday morning, January 11, 2025, on Ulmerton Road, west of 40th Street North, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

At approximately 2:55 a.m., a 69-year-old Clearwater man attempted to cross the highway on foot. A 36-year-old Clearwater man was traveling eastbound in a Honda Odyssey and struck the pedestrian. Immediately following, the pedestrian was struck a second time by a 39-year-old Cutler Bay man driving a Nissan Sentra, which was traveling behind the Odyssey.

The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No additional injuries were reported, and the incident remains under investigation by the FHP.
