Pinellas Park Police Investigating Single-Vehicle Crash with Life-Threatening Injuries

The Pinellas Park Police Department is investigating a single-vehicle crash involving a scooter on Friday, January 10, 2025.

Officers responded to the area of 80th Avenue North and 49th Street North around noon following reports of the collision.

According to the investigation, the scooter was traveling northbound on 49th Street North when the driver lost control and was ejected from the vehicle. The driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local trauma center for treatment.

Police state that speed does not appear to be a contributing factor. It is currently unknown whether impairment played a role in the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
