18-Year-Old Dies in Early Morning House Fire in Coquina Key

ST. PETERSBURG — St. Petersburg Fire Rescue responded to a residential structure fire at approximately 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 3900 block of Neptune Drive SE in the Coquina Key area of St. Petersburg.

Firefighters arrived to find a single-story home with heavy fire conditions and occupants still inside. Crews initiated fire suppression and rescue operations.

Three occupants were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that one of the occupants, an 18-year-old female, died from injuries sustained in the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
