PINELLAS PARK — A Clearwater man has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder following a fatal shooting at a Pinellas Park business early Friday morning, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded at approximately 4:44 a.m. on June 5, 2026, to a business located at 6612 69th Avenue North after receiving a report of a gunshot being heard inside the building.
Due to exigent circumstances, deputies forced entry into the business and discovered 50-year-old Craig Allan Beeth of St. Petersburg deceased on the floor with a gunshot wound to the head.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Robbery and Homicide Unit took over the investigation and determined that 44-year-old Robert Leon Worthington of Clearwater had been at the business with Beeth prior to the shooting.

According to investigators, Worthington was distraught over issues in his personal life and became involved in an argument with Beeth. During the confrontation, detectives say Worthington pointed a handgun at Beeth and fired a single shot into his head, killing him.
Worthington fled the scene before deputies arrived.
Following an investigation, detectives located and arrested Worthington on Saturday, June 6. He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail and charged with First-Degree Murder.
The Sheriff’s Office said next of kin for Beeth has been notified.
The homicide investigation remains ongoing.
