PASCO- A 59-year-old Holiday woman died following a crash Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of US-19 and Continental Drive.
The crash occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. on August 11, 2026.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Toyota 4Runner driven by a 34-year-old Holiday woman was traveling northbound on US-19.
At the same time, a Hyundai Elantra driven by a 59-year-old Holiday woman was traveling westbound on Continental Drive and was stopped at a red traffic signal at the intersection.
For an unknown reason, the 4Runner drifted onto the outside shoulder of US-19 and continued for several hundred feet before colliding with the Hyundai.
Both drivers were injured in the crash. A 38-year-old Holiday man who was a passenger in the Hyundai was also injured.
All three were transported to an area hospital for treatment. The 59-year-old driver of the Hyundai later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
