Pedestrian Dies Following Crash on 66th Street North

A 67-year-old Pinellas Park man has died from injuries suffered after being struck by a vehicle Thursday morning on 66th Street North.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:45 a.m. on August 20, 2026, near 56th Avenue North.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 48-year-old Palm Harbor man was driving a Kia Soul northbound on 66th Street North when a pedestrian attempting to cross the roadway entered the path of the vehicle.

The Kia struck the pedestrian, who suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

FHP later provided an update stating that the pedestrian died at the hospital from injuries suffered in the collision.

The crash remains under investigation.
