A boat was ejected from its trailer during a crash Sunday evening on southbound Interstate 75 near Blanton Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on September 7, 2026.
Troopers said a 43-year-old Summerfield man was driving an Acura MDX southbound on the entrance ramp from Blanton Road to southbound I-75. At the same time, a 66-year-old Tarpon Springs man was driving a Chevrolet Silverado towing a boat southbound on I-75 in the outside lane.
According to FHP, the driver of the Acura failed to negotiate a curve near the bottom of the entrance ramp, entered the outside travel lane, and collided with the boat trailer.
The impact ejected the boat from the trailer. The boat was then dragged before coming to rest along the highway.
No injuries were reported for either driver or any passengers in the two vehicles.
