Four Vehicle Crash Closes East Bay Drive In Largo
April 4, 2014
Units from Largo Fire Rescue were dispatched to reports of a traffic crash early Friday evening. The crash occurred shortly before 7pm on East Bay Drive just to the west of Lake Avenue.
Initial crews reported two vehicles with heavy damage with a total of four vehicles involved. One occupant from each of the heavily damaged vehicles needed to be extricated by fire crews.
One extrication took about 30 minutes to complete due to the condition of the vehicle. Quite a crowd of people showed up to watch the extrication process and they broke out in applause once it was complete. Some of the observers personally thanked the first responders for a “Great job.”
None of the injuries appeared to be life threatening and Largo Police Department was on-scene to investigate the crash.
