Altercation involving employees of PoFolks in St. Petersburg leaves two with grease burns

Officers from the St. Petersburg Police Department continue investigating an incident at the PoFolks Restaurant at 2001 34th Street North in St. Petersburg.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

Based on very preliminary information, employees had an altercation in the kitchen. One employee, 53-year-old, Ocassio Cubby, sprayed hot grease on two employees.

One adult man and one adult woman, both employees, suffered burns, and were transported to the Tampa General burn unit for treatment. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening at this time.

Cubby was taken into custody and charged with two counts of aggravated battery.
