Attempted Murder Charges for Suspect in St. Petersburg Overnight Shooting

Officers from the St. Petersburg Police Department responded to reports of a shooting incident at approximately 1 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

According to preliminary information, a man and a woman were in a car in an alley near 2353 13th St. S.

Keiondre Church, age 23, approached the vehicle and fired at the man inside, with both parties exchanging gunfire.

The two occupants of the vehicle were shot. However, their injuries are described as non-life-threatening injuries.

Keiondre Church, the suspect and former boyfriend of the woman, is in critical condition in the hospital from multiple gunshot wounds. He faces charges of first-degree attempted murder and aggravated assault.
