Tampa Police are investigating after a body was discovered near the Courtney Campbell Causeway on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
Around 10:00 a.m., officers responded to a report of an unresponsive individual in the area. Upon arrival, they found a deceased Black male. Authorities noted no visible signs of trauma.
Detectives are working to identify the individual and determine the cause of death.
Officials stated they are investigating whether this incident may be connected to a separate ongoing case from Sunday. In that case, officers found a deceased teenage boy.
Although still in the early stages of each investigation, the incidents do not appear to be related and there is nothing that suggests foul play. The Medical Examiners Office will determine the official cause of death.
