Tampa Police are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at Busch Boulevard and 19th Street on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
Officers responded to the scene after receiving a call at 9:41 a.m. Based on a preliminary investigation, the pedestrian was attempting to cross the street into oncoming traffic when the collision occurred.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital and was last reported to be in stable condition. The driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
As a result of the crash, eastbound and westbound lanes of Busch Boulevard are currently closed between 20th Street and 18th Street. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.
