Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a crash with serious injuries tonight on Court Street, just west of Missouri Avenue.
The incident was reported shortly after 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
An adult male bicyclist was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital with potential life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the car, which was traveling eastbound on Court Street, was not injured and remained at the scene, cooperating with authorities. According to police, the bicyclist was not crossing the street at a crosswalk or intersection.
Eastbound lanes of Court Street are closed between Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Missouri Avenue. One westbound lane is also closed. Motorists are advised to find alternate routes until the area is cleared.
