Clearwater Police officers, along with troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol, conducted a crackdown on bad drivers today on U.S. 19 and the Courtney Campbell Causeway.
The focus was on speeding, reckless driving and failure to comply with the Move Over Law.
The police department will be conducting more enhanced crackdowns such as this one throughout the year, and have officers on those thoroughfares each day looking for those who speed and drive recklessly and put their lives and the lives of others at risk.
Clearwater Police reported the following results of today’s crackdown.
Non-Moving Violations 26
Moving Violations 5
Speeding 80
Move Over 24
Criminal 7
Arrests 4
Warnings 64
