5 Year-old Boy Shot After Woman Opens Fire on Vehicle in St. Petersburg

Jamesha Lyneet Flanning, age 27, was arrested and charged with six counts of attempted murder in the first degree

The incident occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Monday, February 11, at 5:45 p.m.

According to police, a woman and her four children (ages 4 months to 7 years), drove her friend to the home of Flanning. The home is located in the 1100 block of 32nd St S.

The two woman were going to pick up some personal items belonging to one of the victim’s new girlfriend. Her new girlfriend was Flanning’s ex-girlfriend.

Upon arriving at the home, Flanning came out of the home and fired several times at them. The women got back into the car and drove off. 

One of the bullets hit a 5 year-old boy who was riding in the car.

He was hit in the leg and his injury is not considered life-threatening.

Flanning was arrested and charged with six counts of attempted murder in the first degree.
