At approximately 5:10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian. The crash occurred in the 1400 block of Sunset Point Road.
An adult male with critical injuries was located at the scene. He was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where he died from his injuries.
The pedestrian has been identified as 32-year-old Kelvin Solomon of Clearwater.
Traffic homicide investigators are seeking a possible high-profile vehicle — an SUV or a truck — as the possible suspect vehicle that fled the scene.
