Clearwater Police Investigating Suspicious Envelope Left at Bank by Former Employee

Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue are on scene of a suspicious incident at Centennial Bank, 26417 U.S. 19 N.

The call came in at 2:07 p.m. after someone at the bank noticed a suspicious substance on an envelope left at the business by a former employee.

One worker suffered minor burns to a finger after opening a package with a suspicious substance on it.

As a precaution, the business has been evacuated and hazardous materials team members are on scene. No further information is available at this time.
