Shortly before 3 AM today, Bryan Zuniga fled from Pinellas Sheriff Deputies during an traffic stop. According to Deputies, Mr. Zuniga was having difficulty maintaining a single lane. The  traffic stop was near the 7100 block of 78th Avenue where Mr. Zuniga jumped out of the vehicle and kicked in a fence in order to escape.

The suspect was located a few hours later at a local hospital where he was being treated for multiple puncture wounds to this face, arm and armpit area. He advised deputies that he was attacked by an alligator near a water treatment plant between Westchester Blvd and 71st Street N.

The suspect was released from the hospital and transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident. He is currently being held on $6,300 bail and has been charged with breaking or injuring fences, fleeing and eluding law enforcement, driving while driver’s license suspended or revoked, and resisting an officer without violence.
