Crash involves motor scooter and a vehicle on West Bay Drive in Largo.
A serious crash occurred this evening between a motor scooter and a passenger car in front of 1701 West Bay Drive in Largo.
The rider of the motor scooter was transported via Bayflite to Bayfront Medical Center for further medical care. The rider was conscious and alert but had significant injuries to their lower extremities.

Largo Fire Department was dispatched to the scene at 10:37pm on Wednesday. Bayflight landed at Largo Medical Center Hospital and the roadway was reopened in a timely manner.
Largo Police Department will continue their investigation into the cause of the crash.
