Tampa Police Investigating Deadly Shooting on North 12th Street
TAMPA — Tampa Police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Thursday morning in the 8200 block of North 12th Street.
According to police, officers responded to the area shortly after 2:00 a.m. on January 22, 2026, following reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located one individual deceased at the scene.
The victim has been identified as a 16-year-old female. Police stated that, while the investigation remains in its early stages, detectives believe all parties involved were known to each other.
Detectives continue to gather information to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The department is working with the victim’s family, and a Victim Advocate has been assigned to assist them with available resources.
