Deputies say man shot and killed his mother during an altercation in Dunedin

Detectives from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 31 year-old Nicholas Grant Noren for the murder of his mother, 60 year-old Donna Gene Noren.

According to detectives, on November 5, 2021 at approximately 2:03 a.m., deputies responded to a home at 1553 Coastal Place in Dunedin for report of a possible homicide.

During the investigation, detectives learned that Nicholas got into an altercation with his mother and shot her once. She was transported to the hospital where she died from her injuries.

Nicholas was charged with Murder in the First Degree and transported to the Pinellas County Jail.

The investigation continues.
