Deputies Say Seminole Man Arrested for Images of Bestiality and Child Pornography

Detectives from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a Seminole man for Possession of Child Pornography and Prohibition of Certain Acts in Connection with Obscene Materials.
According to detectives, their investigation began in January 2017, after receiving information that the suspect, identified as 51-year-old James Schnur, was in possession of child pornography.
Through various investigative techniques, detectives were able to recover numerous images depicting bestiality and child pornography from Schnur’s computer.
Detectives arrested Schnur at about 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at his residence located at 8490 91st Street North, in Seminole.
He is facing charges of ten counts of Possession of Child Pornography and two counts of Prohibition of Certain Acts in Connection with Obscene Materials.
Schnur was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.
The investigation continues.
