Detectives Investigate Case Of Body Found In St. Petersburg Canal
Who: Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Investigative Operations Bureau -Robbery/Homicide Unit Patrol Operations Bureau Susan Janet Hendricks (Found Deceased) DOB 01/10/1957 Address: 4764 66th Lane North, Lot 13, St. Petersburg
What: Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are conducting an investigation into the death of a woman whose body was found in a canal near the Jacaranda Retirement Home. Detectives have notified next of kin and her name has been released. Her death does not appear to be suspicious in nature. When: Deputies responded to a body found at about 12:26 p.m. on April 17, 2013.
Where: The body was found in a canal on the south side of the Jacaranda Retirement Home located at 4250 66th Street North in St. Petersburg.
Why/How: According to detectives, a nurse at the Jacaranda Retirement Home was outside on a break when he discovered the body of a female in the canal, pulled it out of the water and called 911. The body was identified as that of 56-year-old Susan Janet Hendricks of St. Petersburg. The Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct and autopsy to determine cause and manner of death.
