Detectives Investigating Death After Body Found by Bicyclist in St. Petersburg

Shortly before 2pm , a bicyclist discovered the body of an adult woman in a creek that is west of the Jet Jackson Recreation center at 1000 28th Street South.
At this time it appears she may have been there for more than 24 hours.
The woman found in the creek was identified as 40 year-old Melissa Higgins of St. Petersburg.
