Dive Teams Searching For Man Trying to Swim Across St. Petersburg Lake

Dive teams will return to a lake early Thursday morning to continue the search for a man that entered a St. Petersburg lake about 7:40 PM.
Law enforcement is calling the 45 year-old missing man a transient. The lake is located near the intersection of 28th Avenue N and 35th Street.
Witnesses reports the man entered the water and never returned. Â A friend of the man reports he was intoxicated when he decided to go for a swim.
The search was called off late Wednesday due to concerns for diver safety and poor visibility.
