Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue teams responded to a single crash around 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
The crash occurred in the southbound lanes of Keene Road between Gulf to Bay Boulevard and Cleveland Street.
The only occupant, an elderly man, sustained potential life-threatening injuries and was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg after his car collided with a power pole along the roadway.
The driver reportedly was operating the vehicle in an erratic manner prior to the crash and damaged a sign in the area of Gulf to Bay.
Motorists are advised to steer clear of the area during the ongoing investigation.
