Early morning fire destroys home in St. Petersburg

Firefighters responded to multiple reports of a house on fire at approximately 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2022. The home is located at 964 10th Avenue South in St. Petersburg.

Upon arrival, crews reported heavy fire and smoke coming from the front of the house. No occupants were in the home at the time and no injuries were reported.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire after major damage was sustained to the front of the old wood frame house. The investigator is at the scene and started the investigation.
