Fatal Crash on US19 north of Roosevelt Blvd

The deceased pedestrian has been identified as 31 year-old Mark Haas. He was walking west in the northbound lanes of US 19 when he was struck by the 4 door Cadillac.

Breaking:
Crews got dispatched to reports of a vehicle crash in the area of US Hwy 19Â and Ulmerton Road shortly before 9pm on Thursday evening. Additional calls seemed to clarify that the crash was actually in the area of US19 and Roosevelt Blvd.
Largo Fire Rescue located the scene in the northbound lanes of US19 just north of Roosevelt Blvd (16361 US Hwy 19).  It was quickly determined that one pedestrian experienced unsurvivable trauma and died on the scene.
According to authorities on scene, it appears that it involved a pedestrian who was walking on the Highway.
Largo Police Department and its Traffic Homicide Unit was dispatched and will be conducting a lengthy on-site investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Northbound Hwy 19 will remain closed for many hours during this investigation.
