Father Arrested After His 1 Year-old Son Drowns in Bathtub
34-year-old Alan Morris was taken into custody this morning and charged with Aggravated Manslaughter in the death of his 1 year-old son.
Morris was apprehended this morning during a traffic stop near 118th Ave and 49th Street N.
The initial ncident occurred at a home located at 364 69th Street North in unincorporated Clearwater on September 28, 2017.
Sheriff Gualtieri will be holding a press conference later this afternoon to discuss further details of the case

In the initial report, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Alan Morris left his 1 year-old son Liam Morris, unattended in a bath tub with the water running and the child later died.
Alan pulled Liam from the water and called 911. Liam’s mother, Madelynne Barenbrugge, performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) until Largo Fire Rescue personnel arrived on scene. Paramedics took over CPR.
Liam was transported by ambulance, to the Largo Medical Center, where he later died.
