Fire Consumes Mobile Home in Largo

At approximately 12:20 PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, multiple 911 calls were received regarding smoke and flames showing from a mobile home at the Fairway Village manufactured home community. The community is located at 1100 S Belcher Road in Largo.
Thick black smoke was visible from miles away and the first arriving units began an offensive attack against the smoke and flames. Additional units arrived within minutes and the fire was brought under control in about 20-25 minutes. The mobile home had extensive damage and was a total loss.
Neighbors reported that the occupants were not home and traveled up North to celebrate Christmas.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Largo Fire Rescue, Pinellas Park Fire Department, Sunstar Paramedics, Largo Police and Duke Energy were all dispatched to assist with this incident.
