Fire Destroys Home This Afternoon In Seminole
Posted: February 12, 2016
A fire destroys a home this afternoon in Seminole. The home is located at 9011 St. Andrews Drive in the Seminole Lake Golf and County Club Estates.
Units were dispatched to reports of a structure fire at approximately 12:53PM on Friday, February 12, 2016. Smoke and flames were visible by units entering the subdivision.
Arriving crews reported heavy smoke and flames from the roof of the single story home. Due to the extent of the fire in the attic and flames shooting through the roof, no firefighters were allowed to enter the structure due to safety concerns.
Water flowed into the structure from aerials and the fire was rapidly brought under control.
Crews from City of Seminole Fire Rescue, Largo, Lealman, and Pinellas Park assisted at the scene. Sunstar Paramedics, deputies from Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and Duke Energy were also on-scene.
The occupants were not home at the time and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
