Firefighters Discover Deceased Individual in Tarpon Springs Condo Fire

Tarpon Springs Police and Fire Rescue units responded to 300 S. Florida Ave., unit 300 K, in the Sunset Shores Condominium Complex, on Friday, September 27th, at approximately 11:30 p.m. in reference to a structure fire.

The incident was called in by a neighbor who advised that they had observed fire coming out of a window at the incident location.

Firefighters made entry into the location and subsequently discovered a deceased individual inside.

The identity of the deceased individual is not known at this time.

Personnel from Tarpon Springs Police and Fire are on scene conducting an investigation into the incident.

Investigators from the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office are also assisting with this incident.

The fire is under control and damage was confined to unit 300 K.

No further information is available at this time.
