Firefighters rescue two occupants of a truck in Pinellas Park

Crews from Pinellas Park responded to reports of a single vehicle crash shortly before 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 .

The incident occurred in the northwest corner of Belcher Road at 118th Avenue N.

Arriving units came into contact with a truck that came to rest over a ditch that ran along the roadway. The two occupants remained inside the vehicle.

Additional units from Pinellas Park Fire Rescue and Largo Fire Rescue responded to the scene in order to assist in stabilizing the vehicle prior to removal of the two occupants of the vehicle.

Firefighters utilized a fire engine mounted winch to keep the vehicle from sliding further into the ditch.

The two occupants were safely removed with the driver transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Pinellas Park Police and Sunstar Paramedics assisted at the scene of the incident.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
