Hazardous material teams at Whole Foods Market in Clearwater

Clearwater Fire & Rescue Department crews are on scene of a hazardous materials call at Countryside Mall, 27001 U.S. 19 N. The call came in at 5:02 p.m. in reference to the mixing of two cleaning chemicals at Whole Foods.

The store was evacuated and fire crews assessed six patients for potential exposure.

Four people have been taken to local hospitals as a precaution.

Hazardous materials team members are on-scene.

The store has been cleared for re-entry by employees. It is unknown at this time if the store will reopen for customers tonight.
