Hillsborough County Fire Rescue battles 3-alarm fire at Mosaic in Riverview

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue is on the scene of a major fire at Mosaic, 8813 US Highway 41 in Riverview. The units were dispatched at 5:47 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024, for a reported brush fire on the property.

The first arriving units found a large brush fire rapidly expanding due to high winds. The fire had also grown to involve high-density polyethylene pipes. Crews worked with Mosaic personnel to contain the massive, high-heat blaze.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office used air operations, and the Florida Forest Service worked with HCFR brush trucks to mitigate the brush fire. Firefighters utilized water tanker shuttles to supply the significant amounts of water needed to fight the fire.
