Arrest made in ongoing murder investigation at the Buckeye Mobile Home Park in Largo

Detectives from the Largo Police Department are investigating a homicide at the Buckeye Mobile Home Park located at 1100 Donegan Rd.

The initial call for service came in during the 4 p.m. hour on Friday, May 20, 2022. Largo Police patrol units responded to a residence inside Buckeye Mobile Home Park for a welfare check. An adult male was found deceased inside the mobile home with what appeared to be suspicious physical trauma to his body. The victim’s name is not being released due to Marsy’s Law.

Detectives were able to identify and locate the suspect involved over the course of a couple of days. Detectives discovered that the victim and suspect were known to each other, but they were not related.

On Sunday, May 22, 2022, the suspect, 27 year-old Thomas Henderson Jr. was located in Hillsborough County and arrested on the following charges:

  • Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle
  • Violation of Probation
  • 2nd Degree Murder (warrant)

There is no danger to the public. This is an ongoing investigation, and no other details are available at this time.

Forensic units from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and the Medical Examiner were on-scene assisting the Largo Police Department.
