I-75 Shutdown Due to Natural Gas Fueled Tanker Truck Fire

I-75 northbound between SR-54 and Blanton Rd is shut down due to a semi fire on the NB SR-52 exit ramp.

A natural gas fueled tanker truck was traveling down the interstate when it caught fire and pulled off onto the NB SR 52 exit ramp.

The trailer of the truck is empty and doesn’t contain any hazardous material. Firefighters have the bulk of the fire knocked down, and no injuries have been reported.

Traffic from I-75NB was being routed onto SR-54.

The exit ramp from northbound I-75 to SR-52 will remain closed as firefighters continue to mitigate hazards on the scene.

I-75 is reopened in both directions.
