Investigation Continues After Reports of Gun on Lakewood High Campus
Gun Reported on Lakewood High School Campus
At 9:37 a.m., the St. Petersburg Police Department received a report of a weapon on campus at Lakewood High School.
Several students had alerted the School Resource Officer of a Snapchat video showing a teen on campus with a gun.
Officers became aware that a group of students had left campus. During the search off-campus, officers located a gun inside a backpack.
Two 16 year-old Lakewood High students are in custody and charged with possession of a weapon on school campus and aggravated assault
The students have been identified as Kervin Reyes and Anthony Comeau.
The school is no longer on lockdown or lockout status.
