Investigation underway after 15 year-old dead from gunshot wound inside a St. Petersburg home

Investigators are on-scene of a shooting that occurred at approximately 4:24 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2022. The shooting occurred inside a home at 4244 12th Avenue South.

The 15 year-old has been identified as Trill Tewan Wright. Wright was visiting a friend’s home at the time of the shooting. It was confirmed that the gunshot originated from inside the house.

No additional information is expected until detectives interview everyone in the home at the time of the shooting.
