Investigation Underway in a Suspected Double Homicide After a Man and Woman Found Dead in St. Petersburg Alleyway

St. Petersburg Police are conducting a death investigation in the alleyway of 14th Avenue S. and 16th Street S.

Police received the call around 7:30am when a woman flagged down an officer who was driving to work on 16th street about a body.

The officer discovered a man and a woman deceased  in an alley off of 14th Avenue South, near 16th Street South.

A pick-up truck was also found at the scene.

Investigators say that this is now being investigated as a double homicide and believe there are drug overtones.

The victims have been identified as 35 year-old Kenneth Lee Shook and 58 year-old Cheryl Lee Casey.

More information will be released as it becomes available.
