Investigation underway after woman found stabbed to death a St. Petersburg alley

On Friday, March 17, 2023, at approximately 4:15 p.m., officers from the St. Petersburg Police Department were called to the alley south of the 200 block of 37th Street North.

A woman, later identified as 34-year-old Jona Waller, was found lying in the alley. She had been stabbed and was pronounced dead at the scene.

St. Petersburg detectives are actively investigating the homicide of Jona 
Waller (DOB 09/01/1988) and need the public’s help.
