Investigators release name of pedestrian struck and killed last week on 34th Street in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg Police responded to a fatal crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian near the intersection of 2nd Ave. N and 34th St. N. The crash occurred in the evening of September 11, 2020.

The pedestrian was identified as 51 year-old Kenneth Oneil.

Investigators say that Oneil was crossing 34th Street when he was struck by a red Land Rover SUV operated by a male driver.

That driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. 

At this time, police say that no charges have been filed in the case
