Lakeland Man Critically Injured in Clearwater Motorcycle Crash
Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a crash that critically injured a Lakeland Man.
The crash occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on Monday, October, 29, 2018 at the intersection of Gulf to Bay Boulevard and Belcher Road.
Edward Allen Lyons, age 27 of Lakeland, was operating a 2004 Yamaha R6 motorcycle. According to investigators, Lyons was westbound on Gulf to Bay Blvd and had a green light as he approached the intersection.
Carmella D. McFadyen, age 66 of Bronxville, New York, was driving a 2017 Nissan Rogue that was heading east on Gulf to Bay Blvd and in the process of turning left onto Belcher Road when the crash occurred.
Lyons was transported via Bayflite to Bayfront Heath St. Petersburg with critical injuries.
According to investigators, Lyons remains in critical condition this evening at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.
The investigation continues.
