Woman Arrested for DUI After Rear Ending a Motorcycle on East Bay Drive

Heather Forcier, age 39, was arrested by Largo Police officers following a crash that occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018.

The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of East Bay Drive near 20th Street SE.

The crash seriously injured the driver of the motorcyclist who was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.

Officers noticed that Forcier was having trouble standing and had blood shot/watery eyes, slurred speech and an odor of alcohol coming from her breath as she spoke.

According to the arrest affidavit, she stated she had about 7 shots of vodka total throughout the day including inside the vehicle as she drove around.  Her friend was in the car at the time of the crash.  Forcier stated that she was driving as she was the more sober of the two.

Her breath sample registered a level of .199 and .195.  These levels are more than twice the legal limit of impairment which is 0.08 in the State of Florida.

She with charged with a DUI involving serious bodily injury and possession of drugs without a prescription.
