At approximately 12:08 AM on Sunday, July 5, 2015, units were dispatched to reports of a structure fire.  The fire was reported at 12580 Seminole Boulevard.

Multiple businesses are located at this location including the Fireplace Restaurant, the House of Shades, Lamps, Lighting and Fans and Debbie Salons Hair & Nails.  It took approximately  3 hours for this blaze to be considered under control with crews on-scene from Seminole, Largo, Pinellas Suncoast, Clearwater, Pinellas Park.  Largo Police, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Sunstar Paramedics, and Duke Energy also assisted on-scene.

Many of the businesses at this location were at this same location anywhere from 18-30+ years.  The business owners, long time employees, and local residents came out to the scene to watch all the history go up in smoke.

At least one firefighter was being evaluated for exhaustion during the operation and no other injuries were reported.   Authorities will remain on-scene to attempt to determine the cause of the blaze.
